Welcome to the Mini vMac 3.2.0 alpha page. This alpha version contains work in progress and has not been thoroughly tested.

The primary change from Mini vMac 3.1.3 is that the Mac II emulation is improved. Now more software seems to work (more or less) than not. But there is still far to go, and bug reports are still not yet useful.

Since only Mac II emulation has really changed, I've only provided binaries for Mac II emulation (for various display depths). Also I've only provided binaries for Mac OS X, universal ("umch") and Microsoft Windows ("wx86").

I have not provided separate binaries that use the Macintosh IIx ROM. Instead, the Macintosh II emulation will accept the Macintosh IIx ROM, if the ROM is renamed "MacII.ROM". The same ROM is also in the II FDHD, IIcx and SE/30.

Some known issues with the Macintosh II emulaton are :

* No sound

* The FPU emulation (Floating Point Unit - for math) should not be relied on for accurate/authentic results.

You can verify files downloaded correctly with the MD5 Checksums (4K).

Recheck the main Mini vMac page for the latest information.

Mini vMac 3.1.3 is the current stable version.
